THEMPC opens new digital print production studio

Hampshire based firm THEMPC has officially opened a 10,000 sq ft digital printing studio, production facility and warehouse in the UK to deliver a vast range of digital printing and branding services for local, national and international clients.

Simultaneously, it is launching THEMPC Europe, a new operations hub in Munich, Germany, which will allow the company to produce and distribute printed assets inside the EU without customers needing to pay extra duties and taxes.

THEMPC, run by Paul and Emma Marsh, was established in 2013 as The Marketing Production Company to manage the creation of branded marketing assets and other print services for clients. But it’s now expanding and bringing the majority of printing jobs in-house so it can ensure consistent quality for clients, and produce marketing assets faster.
Emma Marsh said: “The quality of your print and branded assets is a reflection of your brand. Yet we know from managing thousands of print jobs that sadly you don’t always get what you’re expecting, or when you’re expecting it.
“We’ve always invested back into the business, and we’re delighted we now have the space, highest quality professional equipment and fully trained staff to manage all kinds of in-house printing ourselves.

“Our dedicated production staff will deliver quality printing, exactly as requested, time after time. And we’ll be able to turn jobs around quicker, print on demand, and offer more print personalisation

“We pride ourselves on being a local business with a global presence. To this end I hope local businesses will now be able to source their printing closer to home and visit our studio. While globally, we’re launching THEMPC Europe, our newly established operations hub allowing us to produce and distribute assets inside the EU and save our customers paying extra duties and taxes on products we distribute to EU destinations.”

THEMPC’s new UK print facility in Basingstoke, Hampshire, includes a digital printer able to print full colour to paper as large as 330mm by 1300mm, as well as a UV digital machine that can print Perspex, metal, plastic, wood and other items. There is also equipment to add foil embellishments, laminate, stitch and wiro-bind booklets, as well as an automated cutting table and guillotine for finishing.

THEMPC Europe offers all the same services for customers within in the EU. Another operations hub is expected in America later this year.

The company specialises in creating high quality branded merchandise, such as welcome packs, corporate goodie bags or branded USBs (and everything else in between) for events, client and employee onboarding and broader promotional campaigns. The service includes campaign management, design and manufacturing, as well as storage for assets and picking, packing and distribution to clients.

Last year THEMPC launched SwagOnline, a marketing asset management system for clients who need print and merchandise created, stored and shipped to various locations. Home working during the pandemic meant many teams couldn’t easily access traditional merchandise store cupboards, so THEMPC created SwagOnline as an outsourced service solution. TiPJAR, the company behind the digital solution for cashless tipping in cafes and restaurants is among THEMPC’s SwagOnline clients. TiPJAR uses the platform to create its own customer onboarding kits with unique QR codes printed on demand.
